Life tip: if you ever wish to dislike a song. Set it as your alarm soundtrack. About a week of that and you’re good.

Yesterday, I was reading a blog post on Mint.com describing ways to save. One suggestion was celebrating Valentines day on February 15 because you get So much bang for your buck by waiting one day.

All I could think is that this wouldn’t fly. Logic comes to most men naturally and saving money on this day is not a novel idea.

Valentines day is not about being logical (because that’s romantic), it’s about being emotional. Asking your girlfriend to be romantic later is like rescheduling an expected kiss. It might just ruin the mood.

If I’ve learned anything in this world. Logically resolving emotional moments, is next impossible.

Verizon iPhone & My Photo Feature is a Bust

Yesterday I bought the white Verizon iPhone. Leaving AT&T feels pretty good so far. I’m only a couple of hours in though.

Also had lunch with mom and Kara at Don Julio. Very good authentic Mexico food, highly recommend it.

Now I just have to patiently wait for the iOS update on Monday.

On a different note. I tried some new fancy technology on Tendenci that’s not working out.

I attempted to speed up the photo browsing experience Flickr style. The technology works well locally but works horribly on our production servers.

I’ll be removing that code tomorrow and going back to the drawing board. Sadness and hopefulness.

Last thing. Girlfriend naturally falls asleep when there is still light out. I naturally wake up when it’s still dark.

Grandpa, Guys and Bachelors

Watered the grass twice this week. That’s more than last week so there’s a start. It’s still plenty dead though.

Work wise we’re releasing two new applications within the new Tendenci. We’re releasing Events with group registration and the Memberships application. Something I know we’ve had plenty of requests for.

Hope our customers appreciate these two new applications as much as we do.

This weekend is quiet. We’re celebrating my grandpa’s birthday. He’s definitely up there in age. Should probably figure out exactly how old.

This upcoming week we have some celebrating to do. Thursday we have another guys night and Saturday is Ricky’s bachelor party.

Should probably take photos at both events. Wait. Evidence. Maybe not.
